Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black pen, and draw a large curved shape in the center of your page, curving this across up and then adding s "hook" to the top.
2.
Add a curved shape to the bottom of the "hook", with a small dip at the top, like an "M" shape. Then, add a curved line to the left of this.
3.
Add two points to the bottom of the "M", taking them up into the center to form a beak. Add a small mark to the central section, and then a small dot at the top.
4.
Add a small shape to the bottom of the beak, thickening the line on the left.
5.
Now, add a horseshoe shape to the top of the head, creating an eye. Add another, smaller horseshoe inside the first, leaving a small dot in the center. Add a curved line to the top for a brow.
6.
Next, bring a curved line down from the bottom of the face, running parallel with the line to the right.
7.
Now, take a curved line across to the left, and down towards the bottom of the page.
8.
Draw a curved line above the bottom line, and hook this across at the left end…
9.
Take this hook up to a series of bumps for the wing of the peacock.
10.
Next, bring a series of long, thin shapes across to the left for the main set of wings…
11.
Now, bring a curved line across from the bottom, and add a bumpy line across and up for the tail at the back.
12.
Next, add another set of feathers behind this…
13.
And follow this with a third, more dramatic set of feathers and that magnificent peacock tail.
14.
Add a series of curved lines to the top of the head…
15.
Bring a clawed foot down from the bottom of the body, with four sharp toes. Add small triangles to the ends for claws.
16.
Follow this with another foot beside the first…
17.
And then add a series of small circles to the curved lines at the top of the head.
18.
Grab a blue pen, and add a series of small circles to each of the back tailfeathers. Use the same shade to color the back section of the tail, and the main section of the body, neck, and face, leaving a line at the edge.
19.
Use the black pen to add four more small feathers to the tail.
20.
Grab an orange pen and shade the feet, the eyes, and the beak.
21.
Grab a cyan pen, and add a point to the bottom of each blue circle on the tail feathers. use the same color for the edges of the peacock.
22.
Next, grab a light green pen, and add another point to each of the blue circles, this time enclosing them completely. Use the same shade for the ends of the remaining feathers.
23.
Use a rich green pen to shade the remaining feathers on the body and the tail at the back, leaving a line below each. Shade the circles on top of the head with the same color.
24.
Use a pink pen to color the tongue.
25.
Use a yellow pen to fill in the lines on the tail.
26.
Fill in the remaining parts on the tail and wing with the dark green pen to complete your cartoon peacock drawing.
And just like that, you have your very own super stunning, flashy peacock, ready to show off to the world. Did you know that only male peacocks are brightly colored; the females are a variety of muted, beautiful browns?
